Style Share - August

It's been awhile since I've done a Style Share, so I figured I should break out some pretty decent stuff and offer it up this go-around. After a long drought, I've had a pretty good run lately and figured I should share the wealth and try to keep it going.

As always, the only thing I ask is that the recipient of said item of free* clothing email me back a photo or two of them wearing it for a follow-up post on this site. First three ties claimed will be sent out.

Brooks Brothers 1
First up is a sort of foulard print from Brooks Brothers with a conservative black base and some nice little hints of maroon and green.

Brooks Brothers 2
Dark brown Brooks Brothers with white diagonal grid. Simple and solid.

Brooks Brothers 3
Okay, so this one is a bit crazy, but I will give a bow to someone who can pull this one off with style. Pigs. In. Freaking. Hats. And. Bowties.

Sulka
Seriously one of the thickest, juiciest silks I've held in awhile, this vintage forest green Sulka should tie a power knot and hang with force.

Polo
On the other side of the spectrum is this lovely little light dot pattern tie from Polo Ralph Lauren. There's still a little bit of summer left, and this one would accompany it well.

As always, claim your item in the comments, then shoot me an email to let me know your address so I can get you your tie

*Seriously, it's free, and yours to keep forever. No strings attached. I won't share your name on the site or with anyone else unless you have a blog of your own that you want me to link. Please note that all clothing will be used (but certainly not stained, smelly, or damaged, as I do have standards), so please only agree to participate if this sort of thing doesn't gross you out. Thanks!

  2. Shoot. I was hoping some of the ties in the previous post were going to be up for grabs. Well, I can hardly blame you for keeping them, and, as always, I appreciate your generosity.

  4. MR: Was there an unclaimed tie in particular that you were keeping an eye out for? From May, the only one that didn't have any takers was the bright (purple/blue/yellow) Lands' End number. If you're interested in that one, shoot me an email.

  6. I'm incredibly tempted to request the pigs tie. I have NO idea how idea yet how I'll pull it off, but perhaps by the time it arrives something will come to me. Look out for a few ties to come your way in the next week or so!

  8. Ah ha, first three. Derp. I cannot read (and neither can Scott).

  9. First three claimers (Will, Claude, and Mason): I will be emailing you and sending your ties out this week. Rah!

Scott: There are no if's, and's, or but's. If you want the tie, it will be en route if you say the word. If there are ties coming my way, I must reciprocate, my friend!

Kionon: Stay tuned for next month. It's already planned and ready to go, and the offerings are at least as good (and many would say better) than this one.

  10. I meant from your really truly literally previous post, the Tie Bonanza.

That's OK. I'll just stay tuned for more. :-)

  11. My apologies. I didn't notice at the time I mentioned the pig tie I was already 4th to request. You hold on to that unbelievable tie, you'll wear it quite well. No worries about reciprocating, I've been meaning to send you something for awhile.

  12. MR: Some of these were from the tie bonanza, I just didn't include them in the post because I wanted them to be a surprise. More next month from both the tie bonanza and other finds. Good stuff, seriously.

  13. The pig tie is the whole capitalist pig theme ala animal farm, I have seen pigs in tophats sometimes smoking cigars as critter print on shorts and pants and on motif belts...

Would like to find a tie like that as well as a pair of the shorts in that critter print.
